Each day will begin with an asana flow class then ayurveda lecture to determine your specific dosha constitution. There will be a cooking class learning how to prepare the foods for your constitution (and eating!) followed by learning the specific Yoga poses most beneficial for you. Learn new assists to teach your yoga students accurate depth in yoga poses. Mike has been assisting students in yoga poses for many years. This course will be most useful to yoga teachers and advanced students who want to deepen their understanding of yoga assists and of anatomy. The assists and techniques will be offered at a level approachable to those new to assisting and to those taking a YTT course at this time or as a review for those who have taken previous yoga training courses. A wide variety of poses will be explored including standing poses, forward bends, backbends and twists. Additionally, anatomy and applied anatomy will be covered during this weekend course. Learn the muscles used during various poses and determine how to engage or disengage certain muscles to optimize alignment, depth and safety in poses. This course is a required course by TAYS' YTT 500 hour level participants, however is open to all levels of students and yoga teachers.

Hours: Friday 7:00-9:30pm; Saturday 7-10am and 12-4pm; Sunday 12 - 4pm.
Week one and two are each "Yoga Intensives" with full daily schedule including a certification of participation. These weeks will include morning asana, detailed instruction on Yogic philosophy, pranayama, meditation, Yoga Nidra, study of Sanskrit and the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali. Suitable for all levels (including teachers) who are serious about learning about Yoga or deepening their current knowledge.
Week three is more relaxed with less schedule and more time in a relaxed environment living with the Guru (Yogiji). This week is more suitable for families or first timers to Yoga.
All meals are vegetarian, ayurvedic, organic, healthy meals.
