Description:

At Amana Institute our goal is to provide you with the
tools to gain optimum health and well-being. Our mind/body programs bring balance, happiness and fulfillment.

Through the ancient practice of Yoga, you activate your own
inner healer and develop balance, flexibility and strength. We offer both classical and modern styles of Yoga at levels that are suitable for both beginner and advanced students.

Our meditation program (Primordial Sound Meditation) is a tool for rediscovering our body's inner intelligence. Practiced for thousands of years, it is not about forcing the mind to be quiet, but instead finding the silence that is already there and making it a part of your life. When we meditate on a regular basis, our minds and bodies begin to function with maximum effectiveness, creating health, vitality and happiness.

Come and explore this universal path of self-discovery and
optimum health and let us know how to best serve you.

SATORI ~ Centre for Well-being is centrally located in the heart of downtown Fredericton, in a beautiful historical property filled with natural light and wonderful features such as high ceilings, rich brick walls and warm hardwood floors.  We have several highly skilled instructors with several years of experience in teaching and practice, ready to lead you down the next path of your yogic journey.   SATORI is also a Massage Therapy Clinic with two Registered Massage Therapists, both graduates of and instructors for the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton.  Studio/Clinic owner, Stephanie Guitar (formerly Calhoun), is able to offer the anatomical and physiological background to her yoga  classes to enhance the therapeutic as well as spiritual process for each of her clients.  Stephanie is a 900 hour Inter-disciplinary yoga teacher; Registered Kripalu Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level, and over 200 hour certified Yin Yoga Teacher.   She has completed over 250 hours of study with Paul Grilley, and has been asked to offer teacher training programs on his behalf, and most recently has begun her studies in Yin Yoga with its founder, Paulie Zink.   SATORI will be offering its first 300 hour teacher training program in the fall of 2010 combining the lineages of Hatha Vinyasa and Kripalu for 200 hours, and 100 hours in Yin Yoga training.   The 2010 program is currently FULL, but we are accepting applications for the 2011 program.  Our strongest teaching influences include Paul Grilley, Paulie Zink, Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffman, Jillian Pransky, Sharon Salzberg and Krishna Das.  We are committed to continuing education.

Here at SATORI we strive to offer the highest quality instruction, suitable for all levels of participants, while continuing to support the natural environment we live in.  SATORI is a Gold level "Green Shops" member for the second year in a row, which is a one of a kind program developed by the City of Fredericton to promote environmentally sustainable businesses.  As a Gold level member, we are leading the way in protecting and sustaining Mother Earth.  We offer compostable yoga mats, chemical free cleaning products, and the Karma Shop offers Sanctuaerie organic essential oils, organic hemp casual wear from a local business Awearness Ecological Clothing, as well as the full line of organic Indian cotton and organic Bamboo clothing/products from Dear Lil' Devas.   Taking care of our planet helps us to take care of our clients, and we plan to continue to lead the way in environmentalism in Fredericton.
